We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) for the first time this year will host the ceremony of the “Design Europa Awards“. The awards are given to companies and / or individuals who have a validly registered Community design. The “DesignEuropa Awards” are awarded in three categories:

• Larger companies (companies with more than 50 employees and a turnover of more than EUR 10 million);
• Small and new companies (companies with fewer than 50 employees and a turnover of less than EUR 10 million or companies founded after January 1, 2013);
• Award for lifetime achievement.

Applications are accepted on the website of the EUIPO in the period from February 1, 2016 to July 15, 2016. Finalists will be announced in October 2016. The official award ceremony takes place on November 30, 2016 Milan, Italy.
